In May 2016, Solar Power Europe published a report which demonstrates that decentralisation of European energy supply is impossible if it were not for energy storage.
Solar Europe is – like the European umbrella organisation for storage, EASE – in favour of eliminating barriers in European and national regulatory frameworks that obstruct the application of storage. In the Netherlands, these barriers are net metering regulations and double (energy) taxation on storage, amongst others.
