The Great Energy Election Debate
On Thursday, October 9, the big Energy Election Debate will take place at a place in the middle of the energy transition: at grid operator Stedin in Utrecht. ESNL is organizing this debate together with other umbrella organizations from the energy sector. The debate is led by PG Kroeger and Jaap Jansen. They will make there 'live' their well-known podcast 'Reliable Sources'. Would you like to attend this debate and the podcast recording? Then sign up now for this substantive political debate on a crucial issue during the elections: energy!
What is at stake?
Energy prices are more unstable than ever. Gas and oil deliveries are being used as political leverage. The electricity grid is becoming increasingly crowded, with waiting lists for new connections. Companies and citizens are getting into trouble because of high energy costs. But also: ever new records in clean energy generation. More than half of our electricity already comes from sun and wind. New technologies that are fighting, sometimes against the odds, for their place in the energy system. Large investments in new infrastructure.
More and more energy issues are on the political agenda. What we decide on energy today will determine how we live tomorrow. High time, then, to hear what candidate MPs from the main political parties stand for. How do we become less dependent on fossil imports? How do we keep energy bills affordable? And what opportunities does increasing sustainability offer for a healthy economy?
The debate is free to attend.
Thursday, Oct. 9, Stedin, Utrecht, 7:30 p.m.
Walk-in 7 p.m., drinks afterwards.
