EJ de Korne is a trading engineering company. Traditionally we provide cooling for emergency power generators and we would like to use our thermal engineering knowledge for issues of the future We therefore actively focus on heat recovery and heat/cold storage in the ice battery....

The ice battery

The ice battery is a proven concept, durable, has an ‘infinite’ lifetime, is not a fire hazard, and as the required capacity increases, becomes more economically attractive. We cooperate with SP-Ice GmbH; De Korne collects and analyzes the data, and proposes an energy concept. Production of the ice battery takes place in Germany. De Korne takes care of installation and integration into the existing system, together with local contractors.
Together with SP-ICE, De Korne offers a 24-hour service and maintenance

Application ; Companies with cold needs

Buffering cold allows companies to capture price spikes. When energy costs are low, we let the ice grow, when energy prices are high, we let the ice melt. A reliable system that stores energy efficiently so that energy is available for use when costs are high.

Companies with cold needs such as food processing industries can use the cold directly.

Application; Climate control buildings

The ice battery is also used for air conditioning in office buildings with solar panels where the ice battery is charged on weekends.
In a district heating and cooling.the ice battery can be used as a cold source in summer and heat source in winter and thus the first step in heating the buildings.
Methodology

We want to use our experience in thermal engineering to analyze your energy needs and energy sources. We identify peaks and storage options.
For this we can measure, and model. With the determination of energy flows and the inclusion of cooling/heating costs, a cost-effective solution can be offered that can greatly reduce your process costs.
