The search for a better battery solution began from a recognizable challenge: growing frustration with power surges and the lack of a reliable, integrated solution. Our founder, Jacob van Leeuwen, active in electrical engineering for many years, sought a battery that simply did what it was supposed to do, without complex couplings or cumbersome integrations.

What he found in the market were mainly foreign battery systems with separate EMS solutions. Hardware and software did not connect seamlessly, support was not organized locally and integrations were often complex. Because the right solution did not exist, he decided to develop it himself.

Thus, Kiwatt was born: a powerful, reliable battery solution manufactured in the Netherlands, specially designed for the Dutch market. Today, Kiwatt helps companies get a grip on their energy management, without depending on foreign systems.
