ESNL: House of Representatives commits to energy storage to solve grid problems quickly!

In today's Electricity Grid Roundtable discussion, Maarten van den Heuvel, chairman of Energy Storage NL, urged accelerated deployment of energy storage to solve current grid problems. Energy Storage NL was invited to the roundtable discussion by the House of Representatives. According to Energy Storage NL, one of the things we will have to work on are subsidies for energy storage, an exemption for energy storage from existing transmission tariffs and a covenant for grid congestion areas in which a dynamic team (storage companies, grid operators and governments) works on an alternative policy framework to solve grid problems quickly.
