Lower House receives National Energy Storage Action Plan
This week, the National Energy Storage Action Plan 2023 was presented to the Lower House Committee on Economic Affairs and Climate. Board member Margien Storm van Leeuwen explained the Action Plan to the MPs and highlighted the importance of storage. The presentation followed the publication of the Action Plan and the handover to Minister Jetten on Jan. 25.
The committee expressed great interest in the development of energy storage, and in ESNL's proposals to remove barriers to it. Thus, this paper will be taken as input into the (delayed) debate System Transition.
Besides handing over the National Action Plan, Energy Storage NL is involved in working out the Energy Storage Roadmap with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate. The formulated action points therefore serve as input for this. On February 8 we will discuss this in a stakeholder session with many of our participants. The places for this session are unfortunately full, but ESNL will continue to keep its supporters informed of developments surrounding the Roadmap.
