Successful interactive workshop on cybersecurity
Energy Storage NL looks back with satisfaction on the first cybersecurity workshop in Ede, organized by and for members. Member company Modelec played an important role in increasing knowledge and practical skills within the energy storage sector. The workshop introduced the security directive IEC 62443 and proper actions for network security, where the guidelines were directly applied in practice. Participants learned how the different security levels of IEC 62443 can be translated into concrete configurations for switches and networks. In addition, insight was given into network optimization through zoning and segmentation, contributing to improved lifecycle management within the OT domain.
From junior specialists and application engineers to field engineers, software architects, R&D engineers and CTOs; participants were able to sharpen their knowledge and skills. This marked an important step toward compliance with the Dutch Cyber Security Act and the NIS2 directive.
