As a physical engineer, I have a background in scientific research, industry, and as a program leader at TU Eindhoven and have founded startups twice. Since 2019, my employer has been consulting firm TMC. For five years in the TMC Entrepreneurial Lab, I worked on concepts for battery storage with our Novio Energy Storage project. Contributions came from engineers at TMC and several dozen students from Eindhoven and Delft. Our conclusion is that with battery storage systems at medium voltage grid level we could directly facilitate municipalities with their residents and businesses during the morning and evening peak. For this I offer direct support at the municipal level with specific and partly protected concepts. However, the necessary improvements still need to be realized in the Netherlands. ESNL is an indispensable organism in this regard.
