KAISEC E-boiler with steam accumulator

Commissioned by a major brewery in Twente, Kaisec has completed a 4 MWe electric boiler with 15 MWh of high-temperature thermal energy storage (HT-TES).

The facility combines electric steam generation with large-scale heat storage (in a steam accumulator) and enables the flexible use of available electricity.
The solution was custom-developed and integrated into the brewery’s existing steam system. This allows sustainable electricity to be efficiently converted into process steam and temporarily stored for later use.
A practical and innovative example of industrial electrification, flexibility, and energy storage, with a strong business case.
