Founder and board member Hans van der Spek says goodbye
Hans van der Spek, founder and board member of Energy Storage NL, is retiring. About 10 years ago Hans van der Spek, together with Jillis Raadschelders, was the founder of ESNL. Even after that, Hans has always remained involved in the general board of the organization. The board thanks Hans for his tireless commitment to the ESNL organization and the Dutch energy storage sector as a whole. His position will be taken over by Marco Kirsenstein, FME program manager Energy, Sustainability and Circularity.
Through the message below, Hans also likes to personally say goodbye to the members of Energy Storage NL
"In 2013, it was my privilege to be at the cradle of ESNL. At that time, the energy storage sector was still insignificant and there was also little awareness among politicians and companies of the potential that energy storage held. Over the years, we were able to change this with Energy Storage NL. Currently, energy storage is in the spotlight and this will not diminish in the coming years. I am therefore pleased that I - together with the board and bureau - have been able to contribute to this success. But everything comes to an end. So does my role as director at ESNL.
After a career of more than 33 years at FME, I hope to enjoy my (pre)retirement on April 1. I want to thank you for the nice cooperation and maybe we will meet again on our life path".
