Clean mobile energy where the grid falls short

Bryntell supplies clean gensets for construction, infrastructure, airports, and maritime applications. As the energy transition accelerates, the power grid is not keeping pace everywhere. Bryntell offers a solution for this the alternative to diesel: powerful, mobile energy with ultra-low emissions, without customers having to compromise on power, sustainability, or budget.

The product

The Bryntell CleanStar is a mobile generator set that runs on BS19, a biofuel based on biomethanol that the company developed in-house. The result: no nitrogen deposition, 80% less particulate matter compared to the strictest Stage V standard, and net CO₂ emissions of zero. The rental of these generators makes the solution immediately deployable at any location, as a fully-fledged Replacement of diesel generators, without compromising on performance or ease of use.

Services

Bryntell provides power generation as a service: customers rent the generator set(s) and pay per kilowatt-hour, with installation, maintenance, monitoring, and removal included. In practice, the solution works similarly to traditional diesel setups but meets current and future environmental requirements, making it suitable for use in areas such as Natura 2000 sites. In combination with energy storage (battery systems) can also handle peak loads, which further increases the generator set's operational flexibility.

Proven in practice

The system’s safety has been independently tested by the Netherlands Institute for Public Safety (NIPV). Civil contractor Mobilis was the first company to successfully deploy CleanStar on a construction project. Bryntell also supplied the system for the Vitens project in Beuningen, in collaboration with energy storage from Greener Power Solutions (1,270 kWh of battery capacity) and in collaboration with Voorbij Funderingstechniek, enough power for fully electric pile driving—where diesel generators were previously the standard solution.

At Schiphol, Bryntell conducted a successful pilot project with TCR-KES, in which electric ground support equipment from KLM and other operators (such as eGPUs and electric aircraft tugs) could be charged entirely with electricity, again in combination with energy storage from Greener Power Solutions. This made Schiphol the first airport to deploy the Bryntell CleanStar.

Focus and Ambition

Bryntell focuses primarily on construction and infrastructure projects and is exploring opportunities related to grid congestion in the industrial and logistics sectors, with the ambition of expanding internationally to become the benchmark for clean, mobile energy.
