QurmitXL Wins Two Innovation Awards in September

The Qurmit Energy Storage System^XL ESNL member Qurmit (Eindhoven) won the Recharge Earth Innovation Award 2026 on September 16 at Rotterdam Ahoy and the Best Innovation Award on September 24 at the Sustainable Solutions trade show in Kortrijk. In May, the system had already received the People’s Choice Award at the Netcongestie Innovation Competition, and in March, it placed third at the Solar Solutions Amsterdam Innovation Award.

Both juries highlighted the system’s fire safety and 100% recyclability. Qurmit^XL It uses lead-gel battery cells that are non-flammable and not subject to the PGS 37-1 guideline, making indoor installation possible. The battery cells are made of 77 percent recycled material; the systems are manufactured in the Netherlands.
