Network platform for energy storage
Energy Storage NL is the connector, matchmaker and promoter of Dutch companies and organizations that develop, produce and apply innovative energy storage and conversion technologies. From thermal storage to batteries, from flywheels to ammonia storage and from hydrogen to green gas; all forms of storage are represented.
Goals and activities
Energy Storage NL is the broadest network for all types of energy storage from large-scale to small-scale storage.
Working Group Meetings
At the core of our network are the working group meetings. Each working group meets four times a year, giving us a total of 12 working group meetings per year. These sessions focus on the exchange of knowledge and practical experience around the main strategic themes of financing, locations and laws and regulations. Through a combination of digital and physical meetings - including one physical meeting on location at a member company each year - we encourage both substantive depth and mutual connection between members.
Member meetings
In addition, we hold general membership meetings twice a year. Here we feedback progress on our efforts within funding, venues and laws and regulations, and discuss the association's strategic direction. Inspiring guest speakers offer new perspectives on market and system developments, after which there is room for informal meetings during a networking reception. In this way, we strengthen not only substantive cohesion, but also mutual relationships within the network.
Commercial events
Externally, Energy Storage NL also plays a connecting role through three annual commercial events:
- Energy Storage and Distribution Congress,
- Energy Storage Day,
- The Energy Storage Event.

Bringing together
Regularly bring together a high quality network of manufacturers, project developers, research institutions, (energy) companies, financial institutions and grid operators in the field of energy storage and conversion during various (online) meetings, member meetings, trade shows and other events, nationally and internationally. We are present at exhibitions such as Solar Solutions and at the Energy Trade Fair with a large pavilion.
